I represented a client charged with felony contempt of an order of protection. The DA initially wanted a criminal conviction. We refused a misdemeanor offer and after negotiating back and forth, the matter was adjourned in contemplation of dismissal. This means that the matter will eventually be dismissed. All in a day’s work!
