I represented a client who was charged with choking the complainant until he lost consciousness.  The client is a bus driver and any conviction would have cost him his job.  We refused a plea offer because I knew we could beat this case.  The DA’s Office, after months of negotiations, agreed to adjourn the matter in contemplation of dismissal.  This means that the matter will eventually be dismissed.  All in a day’s work!
