I represented a client on a DWI in Northport Village Court with a fairly high blood alcohol reading. After back and forth negotiations with the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, we are able to resolve the matter from a Misdemeanor DWI to a Driving While Ability Impaired (DWAI). A DWAI is a traffic infraction and not a crime. As a result, I am proud to say that the client does not have a criminal record. All in a day’s work!
