I represent a client on a felony Leandra’s Law DWI.  She drove while intoxicated in a vehicle containing three children.  The client is a school teacher and is facing termination.  I immediately put together a plan of action since the local prosecutor rejected any plea bargaining.  This meant that the client would be stuck either pleading guilty to a felony DWI or going to trial.  A conviction to the felony DWI was certain to be met with termination from her employment.  I am pleased to announce that the game plan worked and after several back and forth negotiations with the District Attorney’s Office, the client is being offered a plea that will allow her to keep her job, feed her family and stave off foreclosure.  I and the client are elated at the result.  All in a day’s work!!!
